For some reason, running Claude Code directly on the remote server is either slow or unreliable. I prefer having a local development environment, but all changes get synchronized to the remote server over ssh instantly without any extra effort. I found mutagen to be very handy in this setup. You install this on your local machine and set up the local and remote paths. Then it just works. I’m really glad someone built this.
